What the Chiron MC line is
The Chiron MC line, also called the Chiron Midheaven line, is the meridian where Chiron stood at the top of your chart when you were born. In a chart for any place on it, Chiron sits on the Midheaven: the angle of career, reputation and public direction. It is one of four Chiron lines, compared on the Chiron line page.
It runs straight from pole to pole and is drawn solid on our map, with your Chiron IC line exactly opposite. Chiron lines are off by default on our map: switch Chiron on in the Lines tab.
What astrologers associate it with
On the most public angle of the chart, the wounded healer is read as a public role built on experience. Tradition describes being known for what you have learned the hard way, and for passing it on.
This is often called the mentor's line. The understanding you carry becomes visible here, in your work and in how people see you. The challenge is that visibility includes your history: some people feel exposed when their story becomes part of their reputation.
Work and reputation
Work that fits the symbolism includes teaching, training, mentoring, advocacy, writing, and any role where you guide people through something you know from the inside. Astrologers also link this line with careers that grow out of a setback, when something difficult becomes the reason you chose a field.

A degree of longitude is about 111 km (69 miles) at the equator and less toward the poles.
